Plastic waste is one type of hazardous waste to the environment because it is difficult to decompose by the soil and can cause damage to ecosystems. The plastic waste may take tens or even hundreds of years to decompose by the soil. However, the problem today is the increasing amount of plastic and uncontrolled resulting in a total volume of plastic waste increases. This is a very serious problem. If not addressed well, it will damage the ecosystem environment.
The use of plastic bags that are not controlled, also occurred within the Bogor Agriculture University. Not only on campus or institution alone but the use of plastic bags that are not controlled in the campus or other educational institution in Indonesia. Assume, if every student to produce one plastic bag per day at the shop, within one generation there are approximately 3200 students plastics produced each day. Not yet added another period of generations, then there are approximately 12800 plastic bags are produced each day. This amount is not small numbers, if not solved quickly, the damage to the environment and the ecosystem that the greater can occur. One that can suppress the amount of waste plastic bags is to change the habits of students and campus residents IPB which use plastic bags when shopping. Habits changed with the use of plastic bags requires that students and residents IPB using parachute material folding bags as shopping bags. The program is conducted at IPB campus environment in a way to socialize the use of parachute cloth folding bag to all students of IPB. Can be used in shopping bags in the cafeteria, stalls, minimarket, and cooperative in  the neighborhood of IPB. This program can suppress a significant amount in a plastic bag usage in the neighborhood of IPB. Even if this program can be implemented well, it can eliminate the use of plastic bags in the campus environment IPB.
Folding bag parachute material was obtained by students at the time of re-registration of new students at IPB and began to enter the faculty and departments on the second level. This bag made of parachute material that makes it easy to be folded into small pieces for easy to carry in the activity. Every student and campus residents must wear a parachute material folding bag in every shop in the cafeteria and mini market in the area IPB.
This program works with the rector, faculty, departments, student executive, minimarket, cooperative and canteen in the environment, Bogor Agricultural University. The gift bag design and implementation of this program are:
1.      1. Each student was given a bag folding parachute material, amounting to 2, ie for the shopping bags of food    or beverages, and goods that contain hazardous chemicals.
2.      2. Given at the new admissions, as well as increases in the rates.
3.      3. Socialization to all citizens and students of IPB to use folding bag parachute material.
4.     4. Coordinate with the rector, faculty, department, executive students, mini, cooperatives, and the canteen to cooperate in the implementation of this program. such cooperation in terms of socialization and procurement of materials folding bag parachute.

Budget spent per student and resident of IPB for two bags is Rp. 10,000, -/people. The process of socialization of the program is conducted by the students and the campus in order to properly socialized. If this plan can be followed by all universities and institutions in Indonesia, it is possible we can reduce plastic bag usage by 50% in Indonesia and avoid the environmental destruction of ecosystems.
